Anne Tilmont

MY LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH... "Anne Tilmont wants to stay in touch on LinkedIn"

**** FOR MY ARCHIVES? JUST SCROLL BELOW ****

If you know me personally,

chances are you have seen that LinkedIn has 'Hijacked' my entire email address book.

This "Queen Anne was not amused..." though the results where surprising.

Amongst the people (some long forgotten, I love Googlemail as an everlasting archive) who accepted my not so spontaneous invite are:

(haha, made ya curious did I, just come back soon to see... won't be long)

= My dentist (who accepted graciously)

= Eurostar Client Service

=The (long distance) daddy of my daughter (who accepted graciously too, haven't seen him for a decade)

= The lovely female cook Brigitte Autier  from Nice in France

= The equally lovely artist Sylvie T from Nice too...

etc.

HOW COME? HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO AVOID THE ETERNAL (and highly annoying) REMINDERS L sends to all over and over again (without the consent of the peston in whose name it's sent)? I'll keep you posted on that.

I got a really polite letter that it seems virtually impossible that the list was used without my consent, and that there will be only one reminder sent later unless I ask them to undo that - which I will.

It has something to do with the whole list being ticked ON , so if you don't pay attention it just goes OFF. I doubt if they are so clear in their communication as they claim, as my brother who is a civil judge and meticulous fiscal accountant, dismissed LinkeIn for the exact same reason (email sent to his whole Outlook list). And he certainly is not the type to give that kind of permission to a highly sensitive collection of contacts...

And I am sure I got several reminder from my 'Linkedinviting' friends but perhaps L did change that - to avoid accusations of spamming.

Keep you posted!

This came in, very polite...
